From its beginning as a small downtown grocery store in 1932, Alewel’s Country Meats has grown into a fixture of the Warrensburg local community. A federally inspected meat processing and retail facility, the company was even awarded the 2017 Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce – Business of the Year. When Hugo Alewel started the business almost 90 years ago, he developed his sausage from old German recipes that had been passed down for years. Quality fresh meats and homemade specialty products along with exceptional customer service are the cornerstones of the company, and that flavor, quality, and care are what continues to be provided to customers today.
Randy Alewel, the third-generation CEO of Alewel’s Country Meats, joined the business in 1984 and has expanded the Warrensburg facility four times. The company has broadened over the decades to include wholesale, retail, private labeling, catering, drop shipment, as well as, beef, pork, lamb, and game processing.
In 2017 the fourth generation, Austin Alewel, joined the company as Director of Marketing and New Business Development. We continue to broaden our product offerings, private labeling, and vision for the future. Stay tuned. . .
